I love pink weddings, which is perfect for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Pink weddings lends itself to celebrating the softer side of a woman (depending on the hue), and it speaks to the confidence of a man who wears it and feels secure. Today’s post celebrates pink weddings in celebration of Breast Cancer Awareness and the hundreds of women affected by the disease who are mothers, daughters, aunts, sisters and best friends.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Within this movement are beautiful women of all ages, colors, ethnicities, and socioeconomic backgrounds. In the United States alone, 249,000 people are diagnosed with invasive breast cancer every year, and nearly 41,000 die from the disease. What is encouraging is although the number of diagnosis is high, the number of deaths are not equal. Why? It could be that more women are getting early screenings, lowering their stress levels and changing their diets. It is certainly a devastating disease that has affected my circle of friends.

As I do every year, I am dedicating posts during October to Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Today I am focusing on weddings with a pink theme – dresses, shoes, receptions, cakes, everything pink! We hope you enjoy and share with others why going pink is a elegant way to create an unforgettable wedding day.
